Had to go to Mizzou for a school contest thing, we took the Fusion and it managed really good MPGs!
Keep in mind this was with the cruise set at a steady 70 without much pausing for slowpokes.
Once it hit 5,000 miles the gas mileage really did jump way up. Fusion, I am impressed.

When is next cars&coffe thing in STL?
Is there a website for it. (Quit FB, so that won't help)

That’s about what my car gets. Though that’s because there are lawnmowers with more FWHP than my car has.

Google Cars and Coffe St. Louis and it should be the first result. It's on the BMW Car Club website, full list of all the dates for the season.

I’d need about 3.5 of my car’s engines to make that power. A V or W16 making only 240 HP to the wheels...what a massive waste that would be.

Prepare to get depressed.
I average 28 mpg highway. At 80.
It’s witchcraft.

If you want to get really good mileage, just drive the car the same way it’s driven on the EPA test cycle... meaning an *average* speed of around 50mph. OR... just follow a big truck.

I hate to be the downer, but...I’m not that impressed. Its 0.4mpg better than what my ‘04 ZHP got on my last long-distance drive, and that’s a 3.0L N/A(speed was 70-80). I’ve gotten as high as 32 mpg, ironically on my way to a track day, where I averaged 8 mpg.

The impressive part here is the fact is it’s an EcoBoost, which get pretty garbage mileage across the engine lineup from the cars to the F-150. So an EB getting decent mpg is a once-in-a-blue-moon thing

It's an EcoBoost, a 2.0T EcoBoost at that. EcoBoosts don't actually do Eco very well, hence the title.

ahhh, so the eco part of ecoboost is a bit of a misnomer then? Makes more sense now.
